Rain Garden Coming

Thanks to some friends and a Heart of Cook grant construction will soon begin on a Rain Garden at the community center. No we don’t grow rain – but harvest it from the roof for better use in a flower garden.


Medicare / Medicaid Assistance Program

On May 18 there will be a presentation in the meeting room from 7 – 8:30 pm. If you, or someone you know is searching for answers to these programs make plans to stop by that evening.


Guest Author Visit

B.A Brittingham will be in the Book Room on Saturday morning April 30 to discuss and sign their latest book Fugitive Moment.


eScript Cards

We have signed on with a program where the Friends will receive periodic donations based on the dollars you spend at Harding’s Market. This is valid at all Harding’s but you must have a card for us to get credit. Contact Lorraine Hanover for your card and more info.


Dance Class

Janet Schrader concludes her dance classes at the Community Center in May. These take place from 6:30 -7:30 pm and the final three Wednesday’s May 4, 11, & 18. So get your dancing shoes on and stop by.


Giving Tree Campaign Fund

The Giving Tree continues to sprout leaves in the entry of the Community Center. Pledge $1000.00 towards paying off the mortgage will have your name engraved on a brass leaf and permanently mounted on the hand carved tree. Contact any board member for more info.

This season wraps up April 23 & 30 – stop in and see what treasures await you.


Neighborhood Watch – New Troy

Keep an eye out in the newspapers or the Community Center sign for the nest meeting date. Contact Michelle Borkowski or Scott Vines if you have any questions about this watch program.



The Keep Our Planet Earth Green donation box is located in the Community Center entrance for recycling.


Party Plans?

Have a birthday, reunion, graduation, wedding, or other party coming up and looking for a place to host it? How about the New Troy Community Center? Rent either the regular meeting room (great for smaller groups) or the Community Room (gym) which can easily handle over 100 people. The kitchen is also available for any Community Room rental. For info and available dates call 269-426-4096.
