Community Rummage Sale
Coming this Saturday, Aug. 20! There are several garage sales throughout New Troy
and Weesaw Township planned for this Saturday. There will also be several people selling items on the front lawn of the Community Center. Stop by the Center and get your maps and spend the day shopping – who knows what treasures you may find.
Apple Cider Century Bike Ride
On Sunday, Sept. 25, once again the Community Center will be the site of a
S.A.G. stop for this annual event. This means we will have several thousand bikers stopping at the center that day. If you are available to help please email Mike Metz at
Center of the World 5K / 10 K Run or Walk
On Saturday, Oct. 8, we will be hosting a benefit run. You may sign up to either
run or walk throughout the New Troy area a distance of 5K (3.2 miles) or 10K (6.4 miles).
The start and finish will be at the Community Center. There will also be a Kids Fun Run on the old track located in the adjacent Weesaw Township Park. After the run you can enjoy a pancake breakfast prepared by the Weesaw Township Fire Brigade at the Fire Department. If you’re not running or walking, please plan on helping at the Center.
The Keep Our Planet Earth Green donation box is located in the Community Center entrance for recycling.
New concrete benches are now available for sale to anyone who wishes to commemorate their family or whatever they desire with a brass plaque mounted on the bench. These benches will become part of our memorial garden in front of the Community Center.
The twice monthly flea markets will return in October. These are held the last two
Saturday’s of the month from Oct. – April. This year we will probably skip the December dates due to the holidays. For more info contact Delmar Thompson.

Storyhour returns to the Book Room on Thursday, Sept. 8.
FoNT Elections will be held during the Sept. 14 meeting. Up for election is Vice
President, Secretary, and two Directors.
