Janet Schrader has arranged for dance classes to be conducted this spring at the Community Center. All are offered at no cost and will take place from 6:30 -7:30 pm on the first three Wednesday’s of March, April, and May for a total of none classes. Each week will focus on a different dance step and there will be a variety of instructors. So dig out your dancing shoes and be there March 2 for the first class “Thriller” with your host Mandy Brunke.
Giving Tree Campaign Fund
The Giving Tree has been installed in the entry of the Community Center and as begun to sprout leaves. Donors who pledge $1000.00 towards paying off the mortgage will have their name engraved on a brass leaf and permanently mounted on the hand carved tree located in the Community Center entry. To sprout your leaf contact Terry Hanover (President), Becky Gloe (Treasurer) or any other board member.
Flea Markets continue the last two Saturday’s of each month thru April. This year the response has been great with many vendors offering bargains galore and a center full of lost treasures or goodies.
Neighborhood Watch – New Troy
The nest meeting will be sometime in March when the weather is more spring-like so keep an eye out in the newspapers or the Community Center sign for the date. . Contact Michelle Borkowski or Scott Vines if you have any questions about this watch program.
The Keep Our Planet Earth Green donation box is located in the Community Center entrance for recycling.
Have a birthday, reunion, wedding, or other party coming up and looking for a place to host it? How about the New Troy Community Center? Rent either the regular meeting room (great for smaller groups) or the Community Room (gym) which can handle over 100 people. Either can be rented with or without the kitchen. Medicare / Medicaid Assistance
Know someone looking for help navigating the myriad of paperwork for Medicare or Medicaid. The Community Center is providing office space for Michael Pries, a certified counselor, to help anyone age 65 or over. Currently his hours are Tuesday from 10 am – 2 pm and Thursday from 3 – 7 pm.
